Who
On this mailinglist you can discuss the UWEM0.5 with us and others. This can help you understand the document better and help us improve the quality and applicability of the document. The list is kindly provided by the Fraunhofer Institut for Applied Information Technology. It is in German, but the discussion about UWEM0.5 is in English. The list is open to public participation.
Mailing List Policy
The official language of the list is English. Anyone with a valid email address can subscribe to the list. In order to make this service work to everybody's benefit there are some important ground rules that you as a user must follow:
- In order to keep the noise level on the mailing lists low and the quality high, it is very important that you carefully read the purpose of this mailing list.
- Spam Mail is Banned! Bulk distribution of commercial solicitation (often called spam mail) is extremely impolite to the participants of a mailing list, and possibly illegal. Do not under any circumstance post spam to this mailing list.
- Unpolite and off-topic postings must be avoided.
Subscription Instructions
These commands can be in the subject line or in the body of the message.
- To add yourself to the mailing list, send the following command by
email to this address
uwem-comments-request <at> fit.fraunhofer.de:subscribe your_password
- To receive a daily digest of the mailing list, send the following
command by email to this address
uwem-comments-request <at> fit.fraunhofer.de:subscribe your_password digest
You can specify a password for the subscribe commands. If you omit the password, one will be generated for you. - To remove yourself from the mailing list, send the following command
by email to this address
uwem-comments-request <at> fit.fraunhofer.de:unsubscribe your_password
You can specify your password for the unsubscribe command. If given, the password must match your current password. If you omit the password, you will receive an email for confirmation. - To send messages to the mailing list, send them to
this address:
uwem-comments <at> fit.fraunhofer.de. - If you ever need to get in contact with the administrators of the
list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the
list itself) send an email to
uwem-comments-owner <at> fit.fraunhofer.de.

- If you want to retrieve your password, send the following command by

- If you want to change your password, send the following command by

- If you want to set different options for your subscription, send the
following command by email to this address
uwem-comments-request <at> fit.fraunhofer.de:set option on|off your_password
Whereonandoffare used respectively to activate or deactivate the option. Available options are: - ack
To receive an acknowledgement mail when you send mail to the list. - digest
To receive a daily digest of the postings to the list. - plain
To get plain-text, not MIME-compliant, digests (only if digest is set). - nomail
To stop delivering mail. Useful if you plan on taking a short vacation. - norcv
Turn this on to NOT receive posts you send to the list. Does not work if digest is set. - options
To receive the current values of your subscribing options.
For example, if you want to take a vacation, and do not want
your mailbox flooded (remember that this is a heavy traffic list), use
the following command:
set nomail on your_password
To activate again your subscription, simply send:
set nomail off your_password
- To stop processing commands (only to be used when several commands
are sent in the same email message):
end
