Overview of the IST projects that are related to eInclusion
European research activities are structured around consecutive four-year programmes, or so-called Framework Programmes. The Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) sets out the priorities - including the Information Society Technologies (IST) priority - for the period 2002-2006. The Web Accessibility Initiative coordinates the W3C work related to accessibility. They provide many comprehensive documents and presentations about accessibility of W3C technologies.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2
The WAB Cluster is coordinating its work with W3C to be input into WCAG2.0 or to reflect the WCAG2.0 guidelines and techniques.
The Evaluation and Repair Tools Working Group
The Evaluation and Repair Tools Working Group works with important input from the WAB Cluster project BenToWeb and the other projects. Part of the deliverables for the Methodology will be made in this group.
The Education and Outreach Working Group
The Education and Outreach Working Group (EOWG) develops strategies and materials to increase awareness among the Web community of the need for Web accessibility and to educate the Web community regarding solutions to Web accessibility.
